KACHUMBER SALAD| Indian Salad (Kachumber)


Fresh, zesty, and irresistibly simple, Kachumber Salad is a classic Indian mix of chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and fresh herbs. Lightly seasoned with salt, lemon juice, and a dash of chili, it adds the perfect crunch and tang to any meal. This quick, no-cook side is a refreshing way to brighten your plate—whether paired with dal, curry, or eaten on its own.

Ingredients 
1 medium tomato chopped or handful of Cherry tomatoes
1 cup English cucumber chopped
2 small red onion peeled and chopped
¼ cup coriander leaves finely chopped
2-3 fresh mint leaves crushed
1 tablespoon lemon juice adjust to taste

Spices 
½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder
¼ teaspoon chaat masala 
¼ teaspoon red chilli powder 
¼ teaspoon black pepper powder
salt adjust to taste

Method 
Wash, dry, and chop the veggies. You can either dice them into small bite-sized pieces or cut them into juliennes.

In a large mixing bowl, add all the chopped veggies, followed by and spices (salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, chaat masala).
Crush some fresh mint leaves.

Finally, squeeze in the lemon juice and mix until everything is well combined. Taste and adjust spices as needed.

Kachumber salad is ready! Serve it with some chips or crackers.
