Paneer Crust Pizza |Protein Rich Pizza

              Say hello to our new family favorite – Paneer Crust pizza! Sound yummy, right? It’s actually out of this world delicious! The  paneer packed crust topped with all your favorite toppings makes this pizza a tasty spin on pizza night.

In this post I have given detailed recipe on making it with gram flour and also a low-carb way using almond flour and egg. 

This recipe is inspired by the Paneer crust pizza made by Sanjyot at Your food lab original video. Incase your looking for the version with refined flour do check his YouTube video.

Herb Paneer 
Ingredients
milk 2 litres
oregano 1 Tsp  
red chilli flakes 1 Tsp 
other Herbs (optional)
salt to taste 
vinegar 2 Tbsp + water 4 Tbsp

Method 
In a pot add milk and switch on the flame and bring it to a boil  and once boiled low down the flame and add the salt, herbs, oregano and chilli flakes and mix well and cook for at least three to four minutes.

In a separate bowl add vinegar and water mix well and add the mixture slowly to the boiling milk. Due to the vinegar the milk will start to curdle and the whey will start to separate. Once the milk solids have separated use a sieve or cloth and drain off the curdled milk.Rinse with cold water and squeeze off the water.

Add ½ tsp salt and mix well. 
Shape the paneer into a single or two blocks, and keep a heavy object over it.After few hours of rest remove the cloth and your herbed paneer is ready to be used. 

                   For the Paneer crust Pizza 

Ingredients 
Herb Paneer or Plain Paneer 
Pizza sauce 
Veggies 
Herbs 
Mozarella cheese 

Flour coating 
Refined flour/Gram flour
Breadcrumbs 
Salt 
Pepper 

Or

Low-carb coating 
Almond flour 
Egg 
Salt and pepper 

Method 
Step 1
Cut the paneer slab(plain or herbed) into square pieces. It should not be too thick or very thin. 
Step 2
In one bowl make a smooth refined flour slurry by adding refined flour/gram flour and water and mix well to ensure no lumps.  In another bowl add salt and pepper to bread crumbs and mix well. 

Step 3
Dip the paneer slab in the flour slurry and then crumb it with bread crumbs and deep fry them in hot oil on medium-high heat until crisp and golden brown and your Pizza crust is ready. 
On the pizza crust 🍕🍕🍕add the sauce, veggies, cheese and herbs and bake for 5 min @200C or cook it on a pan by covering it until the cheese melts. 
Enjoy hot🔥🔥🔥. 

Or

Low carb Paneer Crust Pizza 

Step 1
In one bowl beat in an egg and smooth and in another bowl add salt and pepper to almond flour and mix well. 

Step 2
Dip the paneer slab in the egg mixture and then crumb it with almond flour and pan fry them in hot oil until crisp and your Pizza crust is ready. 

On the pizza crust add the sauce, veggies, cheese and herbs and bake for 5 min @200C or cook it on a pan by covering it until the cheese melts. 
Enjoy hot.
