Mixed Fruit Shrikhand

A deliciously creamy Indian dessert made with yogurt and flavored with saffron, cradamom and served with delcious vibrant fruit.Shrikhand is a popular Gujarati sweet and is traditionally  served with puri but this this a version   created using different types of tropical fruits. 

Ingredients 

2 cups plain yogurt 
1 cup mixed fruits ( finely chopped)
2 to 3 tbsp Honey 
1/4 tsp cardamom powder 
A pinch of saffron 
Chopped nuts for garnish 


Place the 2 cups of curd in a muslin cloth  and strain it for atleast 6 hours or overnight. Now  transfer hung curd into a mixing bowl and whisk hung curd with ground cardamom , honey and saffron.Add in chopped fruits. Mix well.Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours. Garnish with remaining chopped fruits or nuts .


Or 

Layer the serving bowl with fruits followed by the hung curd mixture. Garnish with saffron and nuts and serve cold.
