RICE PAPER DUMPLINGS RECIPE (AIR FRY)

These Air Fried Rice Paper Dumplings are made with rice paper for that chewy skin similar to dimsums. These are gluten-free and vegan, filled with a mix of tempayy or cottage cheese and veggies and enjoyed with a delicious dipping sauce.

Ingredients 
15 Rice paper sheets ( 16 cm)

FOR THE FILLING 
3 tsp oil
3 clove garlic (finely chopped)
1 chilli (finely chopped)
2 small onion (finely chopped)
1 cup cabbage (finely chopped)
4 tbsp capsicum (chopped)
1 cup paneer / cottage cheese  or marinated tempayy(grated)
2 tbsp Coriander leaves ( chopped)
1 tsp pepper (crushed)
 salt

METHOD 

Prepare the stuffing by heating 3 tsp oil and saute garlic and chilli .Further, add the onions and saute until onions shrink slightly followed by cabbage and capsicum.


After a couple of minutes add the protein ( paneer and or tempayy) along with pepper and salt and saute well. 
Mix until the paneer and spices are well combined , garnish with coriander leaves and do allow the stuffing to cool completely.

TO MAKE THE RICE PAPER DUMPLING (MOMO) 

Prepare a tray or deep plate with room temperature water. Dip a piece of rice paper into the plate of water for just 7 to 10 seconds. 

Place the rice paper on  a flat surface and  place a tbsp of prepared paneer stuffing in the centre and start pleating from one side. 

Once all the dumplings are ready preheat the airfryer at 200 for 4 to 5 minutes and place the momos that have been brushed with oil  one by one in the basket and airfry at 180 for 5 to 8 minutes. 
If required flip after 5 to 6 minutes. 

Serve immediately with a dipping sauce, and enjoy your crispy Rice Paper Dumplings or momos.
