Paneer Khurchan

Paneer Khurchan is one of the best North Indian Paneer recipes and is prepared with paneer, tomato, onion and capsicum. It's rich with indian spices and has mouth-watering flavours.The addition of cream, kasuri methi and coriander  would definitely make you lick your fingers. Serve it hot with tandoori roti or rice. My Paneer Khurchan doesn't look as creamy or doesn't have the colour as the original but honestly the taste was delectable. 
Ingredients
Ghee/Oil 2 tbsp
Jeera/ Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Onions 2-3 medium size (sliced) 
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp 
Green chillies 2-3 nos. (slit) 
Capsicum 1-2 medium size (julienned) Tomatoes 2-3 medium size (julienned) 

Chilli powder 1 tbsp 
Jeera/Cumin powder  1 tsp 
Coriander powder 1 tbsp 
Garam masala 1 tsp 
Aamchur powder 1 tsp 
Salt to Taste 

Water 100 ml 
Paneer 250 gm 
Kasuri methi 
Lemon juice 1 tsp 
Fresh coriander leaves 1 tbsp (Chopped) Fresh cream 2-3 tbsp 

Method 
Set a pan on medium high heat, add ghee and cumin seeds, sauté the cumin seeds briefly for few seconds.Further add onions and cook until they are translucent, add ginger garlic paste and green chillies and sauté it for a minute.

  Next, add capsicum, tomatoes, salt to taste and all the powdered spices, mix well and cook for 8-10 minutes. 
Add water and cook for 3-5 minutes. 
Further add paneer and mix gently and cook for 3-4 minutes. 
Add kasuri methi, lemon juice and finish it with some freshly chopped coriander leaves. Next, add some fresh cream and mix gently.
 Your paneer khurchan is ready to be served, serve hot.
