Chinese Bhel | Crispy Noodle Salad With Millet Noodles|Airfryer Noodle Bhel Recipe
Chinese bhel is a Indo Chinese Dish that's a blend of fried noodles, veggies and spicy tangy sauces. This recipe is almost zero oil as the noodles are fried in the airfryer. These Air Fryer Noodles are also perfect as a topping or to make some delicious Chopsuey as well.
It's also perfect munching snack for parties or late movie night.The recipe is easy to make at home and can be prepared quickly.
So.lets dive in
Ingredients
1 and 1/2 cup boiled Noodles
1 tbsp Cornstarch
Oil for brushing
Sauce
3 tbsp schezwan sauce
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp vinegar
Salt and pepper
Veggies
1 cup finely chopped or julienne ( I have used carrots, cucumber, capsicum, onion ,cabbage)
Garnish
Roasted Peanuts and bhujia
Method
To begin making crispy noodles, we will first cook the Millet Noodles in boiling water with a little salt. Once the noodles are cooked, drain the water and wash it under cold water to prevent more cooking.Once the noodles have cooled down, toss the noodles in a tablespoon of oil.
Coat the noodles with cornstarch and the next step is to air fry them.
Note that you have to fry the noodles in small batches at a time to get perfect crispy noodles.
Place the noodles onto the basket and place it into the air fryer at 180 C for 10 to 15 minutes. You have to take the basket out every 5 to 6 minutes to toss the noodles and place it back inside for air frying.
Once the noodles are crispy ,take it out and keep aside.
The next step is to make the Chinese bhel
Into a large bowl stir in all the sauces followed by the vegetables. Once mixed add the fried noodles and mix well to combine. Check the salt and spice levels and adjust to suit your taste.
